Americans have been left "shook" after being introduced to a controversial British dating show featuring full-frontal nudity.
Channel 4's Naked Attraction has been made available in the US for the first time as HBO quietly added it to their Max streaming service last week. Yanks can now enjoy all six seasons of the infamous dating game show — which describes itself as "the daring dating series that starts where some good dates might end — naked."
Each episode sees six contestants placed in boxes while totally nude as a "chooser" selects one of them for a date based on who they like the look of naked the most. The contestants all start with just their feet on show but each round sees a barrier lift to reveal more of their naked bodies, with genitals being revealed next, followed by the upper body and finally the face.

None of the nudity is censored in the show, but Max has added a warning at the beginning of each episode, according to Hollywood Reporter. It reads: “The following series is intended only for mature audiences. It contains full frontal nudity, course language, and graphic discussions about the human body. Viewer discretion is advised.”
At the end of each round the contestant whose birthday suit fails to impress is brutally eliminated until just two are left remaining, the chooser then strips down themselves before making their final selection. The couple are then filmed heading out on a date together — this time with their clothes on.
The series has been a hit in the UK but across the pond, viewers were left shocked by the uncensored nudity as they took to Twitter to discuss the "wild" show. "Y’all are not watching Naked Attraction on HBO? This is the wild. And they don’t blur out nothing," one incredulous viewer wrote.
Another added: "I just discovered that the UK has a reality dating show called 'Naked Attraction' and OMG, it’s full frontal nudity. These reality dating shows are crazy lol." A third said: "Pls I’m watching Naked Attraction, I’m so shook this is on national television."
Others slammed Brits as "insane", "trashy" and "maniacs" over the show. One person Tweeted: "I tried to watch #nakedattraction on @StreamOnMax and both me & the cat were shook #smh And the Brits love to make fun of #Americans! Sheesh!"
A second viewer wrote: "I’m watching Naked Attraction, and let me just say…. UK people. Y’all really are trashy like the rest of us." A third added: "This naked attraction show is wiiild British people are insane." Another said: "Naked attraction on HBO max the British are maniacs".
Some even struggled to get through it, with one person admitting: "Watching #nakedattraction and wow I am more American than I thought as I’m blushing watching this from my house with no one else!" Another claimed Americans could never have their own version of the nude dating show, writing: "Americans couldn’t handle having a U.S. version of this show for many reasons…"
Meanwhile Brits found the response in the US hilarious. "Americans discovering naked attraction is always funny," one person wrote.
A second agreed, adding: "Americans only now just finding out about Naked Attraction is sending me…" Another joked: "I am so excited the US public is finally getting to know our greatest UK export."
