A man accused of masturbating on a porch to a Ring Doorbell camera has warned a judge he still has a "mission to complete".

Scott Allen Schultz, 60, interrupted a judge during sentencing at his first court appearance where he is set to defend his actions. The Michigan-based man is believed to have broken into several homes and masturbated outside of them.

Surveillance cameras saw the man attempt to break into homes in the neighbourhood in a residential area and has since been charged with three counts of first-degree attempted home invasion.

Should Schultz be convicted of the charges, his sentence could be longer than ordinary due to his previous convictions. The habitual felony fourth offender tag means his sentence could be enhanced.

A form released by Macomb County Prosecutor's Office confirmed the felony fourth order, and prosecutor Peter J. Lucido has since slammed the actions and response of Schultz in court, LawandCrime reported.

He said: "Such behaviour is not only a violation of personal boundaries but also poses a threat to the safety and well-being of our community. We are committed to pursuing justice, emphasizing the sacred nature of the home. Simultaneously, we recognize the importance of addressing mental health concerns where appropriate."

Details of Schultz's alleged crimes have since been released, with a Sherriff's Office report reading: "The suspect attempted to enter at least three homes along Market Street.

"When the suspect realized he could not enter one of the homes, he proceeded to expose himself to the Ring Doorbell camera and masturbate. The suspect then attempted to enter at least two other homes but again was unable to do so due to the doors being locked."

In court, Schultz interrupted the judge and said: "Your honour, if I can interrupt you, I’m on a mission I have to complete by year’s end." He is now being detained on a half million dollar bond.
