It's no secret that times are tough at the moment.
There's a lot going on in the world, bills are rising and the cost of living isn't cheap. Perhaps that's why so many people are turning to sexy platforms to earn a little extra cash.
A survey conducted by xfanshub revealed many Brits are keen to find out more about racy work due to the financial pressure they face. With certain adult platforms having boomed since the coronavirus pandemic, it's no surprise that more people are becoming curious about them.

As part of the study, over 2,500 newly registered OnlyFans users who joined the platform in 2023 were surveyed. It was all carried out to assess the influence of the ongoing economic downfall on their decisions to become members - both in the present and in retrospect.
The survey uncovered some interesting results, including a staggering 98% awareness of OnlyFans before the recession hit, with 68% considering joining during the economic downturn. Surprisingly, 56% had already initiated their OnlyFans journey.
Motivations, such as financial strain (45%) and income supplementation (32%) shed light on the diverse reasons for venturing into this space. As well as this, 89% believe OnlyFans could alleviate recession-induced financial challenges.
Despite this, respondents expressed concerns in regards to privacy (37%) and social stigma (48%) as both were considered notable barriers. With 72% seeking OnlyFans as supplemental income, this survey provides a succinct yet revealing snapshot of unconventional financial choices in challenging times.
Even before the current recession began, 98% of respondents admitted they had heard of OnlyFans. But, following financial strain, 68% also admitted they'd consider joining to help boost their bank balances.
Just over half of the people surveyed admitted to joining the platform prior to the current recession, and factors that influenced this decision included financial strain (45%), job loss (19%), income supplementation (32%) and other reasons (4%). As well as this, 46% admitted their financial situation "significantly worsened" as a result of the current recession, while 39% said it "somewhat worsened".
A staggering 89% of participants thought joining OnlyFans would help boost their finances, but people did have some concerns about joining due to issues like privacy concerns (37%), stigma or social judgment (48%), technical challenges (1%) and competition (2%).
Even though many could see the financial benefits of the saucy platform, some had distinct expectations about how it could help them financially. While 18% thought the funds generated could be enough to sustain their primary source of income, up to 72% thought it would be an ideal form of supplemental income.
Meanwhile, 10% were uncertain about how it may help them.
