EastEnders legend Jessie Wallace has become famous for her signature raven locks over the years.
Loyal fans of the BBC soap would argue her famous jet-black tresses are a signature part of her loud-mouthed character, Kat Slater. Other fashion traits of the loveable character include her large gold hoop earrings and statement leopard print dresses.
So it’s fair to say the TV star surprised fans when she underwent a stunning makeover on Saturday (November 18). Taking to Instagram to share the results of her new look, the doting mum debuted her dramatic blonde tresses online.

In the glamorous selfie, the actress straightened her honey blonde locks which featured a curtain fringe that perfectly framed her face. But the actress couldn’t commit to the dramatic new look for good, as she posed up a storm in the stunning blonde wig.
The TV star donned a full face of glamorous makeup which celebrated her youthful glow. She opted for a pinch of blush on the apples of her cheeks and a touch of bronzer on the high points of her face.
She added her signature black smokey eye with lashings of black mascara. To complete the look, the soap star added a swipe of pink lipstick which she topped with a clear lip gloss as she beamed to the camera.
Fans were quick to compliment the actress on the new look immediately after posting. One user couldn’t help but compare her to a young Madonna, writing: “Ooh it’s a yes from me, looking like a young Madonna.”
Another added: “Omg you so suit blonde” as a third echoed: “Looks amazing. I’ve just watched classic EastEnders and in one scene you asked Zoe if you would suit blonde hair and the answer is definitely yes.”
A fourth echoed: “Nice photo and you look absolutely gorgeous” as a fifth chimed in with: “Awesome hair colour!! Love this look on you [two fire emojis].” The post comes after Jessie was spotted on a night out alongside notorious road rage killer Kenneth Noye earlier this month.
She was pictured at a bar and in a private box with the convicted killer as they watched Elvis Live on Screen with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. The actor previously sparked a rift with senior bosses on the show when she was arrested for allegedly attacking a police office outside a nightclub back in June 2022.

A BBC spokesperson told the Mirror at the time: “Senior bosses have spoken to Jessie Wallace about the incident and issued a clear warning that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable and Jessie has expressed her deep regret.”
Most recently on the BBC soap, fans watched Alfie Moon open up about his cancer to his ex-wife Kat. The former pub landlord initially lied to her about his cancer after his diagnosis back in August – and claimed he got the all-clear.
But the truth eventually came out after Alfie got into a fight with Phil before the hardman tied the knot to Kat. Fans will have to stay tuned to see what will happen to the Kat and Alfie on the long-running soap.
