Travelling fans on a European away day often look for the best pubs before their hotel.

Hundreds of England fans travelled to the city of Skopje for the Three Lions’ final Euro 2024 qualification match against North Macedonia. Of course, the Balkan nation is hardly the first country most people in the UK would consider travelling to for a holiday.

However, the population of 2.06 million people may have to prepare themselves for a sudden influx of British tourists. After-all, with some pints costing as much as £9 in the UK, the beer drinkers of Great Britain will be stunned by the price of a pint in North Macedonia.

A travelling fan uploaded a picture of a giant tube stretching from their table all the way up to the ceiling. A caption alongside the post claimed the fans in the picture had bought 84 pints of beer for £59.

It's unclear as to whether the 84 pints were within the giant tube in the pub or if the fans bought 84 pints for that price over the course of their time in the pub. Either way, a new generation of North Macedonian tourists from the shores of Great Britain could be on the horizon for the country.

"I wish I was there with the England fans to enjoy so much at Macedonia." one fan tweeted. "Can't imagine how the fans who didn't want to come over will be feeling after this one," said another, who feel there may be a lot of regrets from fans at home.

A third seemed to suggest they are plotting a trip by writing: "Really need to go these type of gaffs man. So cheap."

A fourth challenged fellow fans by asking, "Are they in Macedonia or Heaven? Make up your mind."

Considering it is easy to buy one round of drinks for the same amount of money in some parts of England, maybe it is time to see what North Macedonia has to offer.
