Cast and crew of the latest season of Fargo revealed they uses stunt nipples and a 'dedicated nippleologist'.

The revelation came at the premiere screening of the FX series at Nya Studios in Los Angeles on November 15. A panel consisting of the season's actors and behind the scenes management were discussing the critically acclaimed series, when John Hamm's nipples came up.

In one scene Hamm's character has visibly pierced nipples, while enjoying a hot tub. During the panel chat it was revealed they weren't really his but rather a little bit of Hollywood magic.

In awe over the revelation, fellow series actress Juno Temple quizzes her co-star by saying "a full, fake nipple?"

Hamm told the audience ,and co-star: “I had to have some very blue latex put on my nipples, and then they cast a resoundingly lifelike pair of nipples, which they then pierced and placed over my own nipples, and we shot said nipples."

“The crew doesn’t get enough credit, but there was a dedicated nippleologist.”

The fifth season, which premieres today (Nov 21) on FX at 10 p.m. ET (and the next day on Hulu), stars the Ted Lasso actress, Temple, as Dorothy “Dot” Lyon, a Minnesota housewife whose dark secrets are about to be revealed.

The Brit told the audience she really did her homework, as she spent months trying to perfect her accent for the part.

“I would practice it in airports,” she said.

“Sometimes my fiancé would hear me do it in grocery stores. And then the more you do it, the more fun you have with it.

"It also really helped with Dot for me, a rhythm of this Minnesota nice, which has a kind of true sweetness to it that even when what we just watched to some of these crazy moments. She still has this sweetness to her, always.”
