A teacher has been arrested following accusations she sent inappropriate pictures to a 16-year-old.
Emily Swinkowski, a 27-year-old art teacher from Mississippi in the US, found the allegations aimed at her after a second student from the school is said to have found out. She now faces charges of child exploitation and enticement of a child after allegedly sending nude images to a student.
She was arrested while working at Water Valley High School after the principal was tipped off by another member of the student body. According to District Attorney Jay Hale, the principal then informed the police.

She subsequently resigned and handed herself over to the police and has now been freed on a $50,000 bond (£39,000). She is just the latest in a list of cases of inappropriate teacher-student relations in the US.
Speaking to Law & Crime, former FBI Special Agent and CIA Officer Tracy Walder explained: “I do wonder if part of it is this excitement of having that kind of power over an individual, which is pretty gross”.
She has also worked as a teacher and noted her confusion about the matter on the outlet’s YouTube channel. “I even teach college, and it has never occurred to me to do something like that, literally ever.”
Darkly, she added: “I think some people are getting into the job to be predators, it’s frustrating – I don’t think everyone is because I’m a teacher myself and I don’t want teachers to be attacked."
