I’m A Celebrity’s Annabel Giles said she was having a “lovely” birthday celebration in what was her last Instagram post before her death at 64.
The presenter – who has passed away after battling a brain tumour – reached the milestone in May and posted a message on Instagram telling fans what she had been up to. Annabel shared a list of other celebs celebrating their big day at the same time as her, which included Cher, Louis Theroux, Greg Dyke and Busta Rhymes.
“I’m in good company!!!” she told her followers. “Having a lovely day and the sun has come out especially.” The star, who was an I’m A Celebrity camper in 2013, added three sunshine emojis to her post and hashtags including “dontask” and “beatlesage”.

It proved to be Annabel’s final Instagram post. Her account has been quiet until today (21 November), when her children Molly and Tedd confirmed that she had passed away.
They wrote: “It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our incredible mother, Annabel Giles, who passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon at martlets Hospice in Hove. In July, Mum was diagnosed with a Stage 4 Glioblastoma, a fast-growing and highly aggressive malignant brain tumour.
“In the four months that followed, she displayed remarkable resilience and strength, despite undergoing brain surgery and countless radiotherapies. In her final weeks, she was passionate about raising awareness for Glioblastoma, embodying her lifelong commitment to helping others.”
They went on: “Mum was truly one of a kind, an enigma to those privileged to share her life. True to her nature, she kept spirits high and maintained her quick wit until the very end. Her humour and laughter will leave us inspired to “live life to the fullest, just as she always did.”
Fans have told of their sadness, with one calling the late star “a ray of light”. “Oh my Lord what a dreadful shock,” another posted on Instagram. “Your mum was so lovely and I am genuinely gutted for you.”
“Bless you Annabel,” said another. “You made the world a brighter place. Thank you.”
