Good Morning Britain stars Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard were visibly frustrated as a guest purposely avoided answering their questions.

The duo teamed up for the latest instalment of the ITV programme on Thursday (November 9) and spoke to Transport Minister Mark Harper about Suella Braverman's recent article in The Times. The Home Secretary sparked controversy after she described pro-Palestinian protesters as "hate marchers", adding: "I do not believe that these marches are merely a cry for help for Gaza."

Ben and Susanna quizzed the conservative MP on Braverman's comments, but he refused to admit where he stood on the remarks. Susanna, 52, said: "She's saying the Met police are playing favourites and that they're soft on protests. She calls them hate marches.

"You're saying we're all in this together and we're fully supportive of the police. She's criticising the police!"

Harper responded: "Susanna I'm just giving examples. I've been in several meetings this week with the Home Secretary, other senior ministers and those from our policing and intelligence communities, who are all focused on ensuring that those protests at the weekend take place safely."

Ben, 48, interjected: "Does the article she's written and what she's saying, does it bother you at all?" "Does it help?" added Susanna.

Harper argued: "I judge by people by what they do..." The Tipping Point presenter fumed: "What she's done is she's written an article in a major newspaper with all of those things that Susanna has highlighted. You can judge her by what she's written."

Ben asked again: "Does that help?" Avoiding the direct question, Harper went on to discuss the police's main focus during the protests taking place and ensured that their top priority is keeping people safe.
