I’m A Celebrity viewers were left scratching their heads after finally discovering what 2023 star Marin Humes’ band JLS stands for.
The pop star and presenter is one of many famous faces appearing on this year’s series. Marvin has joined the likes of Nigel Farage, Danielle Harold and Josie Gibson to rough it up in the Aussie jungle for the next few weeks.
Prior to his jungle stint, Marvin shot to fame as a member of the chart-topping boyband JLS. The group had their big break on ITV’s X Factor back in 2008.

Marvin, along with bandmates Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, and JB Gill, released five Top Five albums, and bagged five No1 singles. Much to the heartbreak of fans though, in 2013 they split, before reuniting in 2021.
And with Marvin back on telly screens for the new series of I’m A Celeb, fans have started to wonder what exactly his band JLS actually stands for. But when they found out they were left even more stumped.
JLS is said to stand for Jack The Lad Swing. Responding to the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan fumed: “F**k off does JLS stand for Jack The Lad Swing.”
Someone else proclaimed: “My whole world collapsed when I found out that JLS didn’t in fact stand for 'just love songs' like I thought it did in 2010.” A third chimed in to share their confusion even more: “I just found out that that JLS stands for ‘Jack the Lad Swing’ I'm sorry but [what the f***] does that even mean?”
Jack The Lad is British slang for a cheeky cocky young person. It is believed the JLS guys then added "swing" because they liked swing music.

It comes after Marvin has been tipped to take home the crown this year because of his "quiet confidence". Betway has partnered with body language expert Inbaal Honigman who has analysed who is set to be the next winner of the series.
She said: "Marvin’s calm little smile as he introduces himself shows quiet confidence. He’s not scared of the challenges and will take each thing as it comes.
"When talking, Marvin often looks away to the right. Some might say that this means he’s deceitful, but that is not the case here.
“Looking to the right is associated with positive thoughts, and what we see is the former boy-bander trying to cheer himself up with positive thoughts, because he’s a little nervous about the weeks ahead. He’s determined to do well and has already decided that he’s winning the entire thing."
