One of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'s former campmates has admitted to a WhatsApp group chat with everyone from their year but Matt Hancock.

Scarlette Douglas, who is best known for presenting Channel 4 property show A Place in the Sun, was appearing on Thursday's edition of Good Morning Britain (November 16). For the show, she took on the hosting gig once again as she presented the entertainment news segment.

Gearing up for the newest series of the hit ITV jungle show, Scarlette recalled on her own time on the show. Competing in last year's edition of the programme, she was joined by the likes of music legend Boy George and journalist Charlene White.

Reflecting on her time in the jungle, she admitted she was "nervous" before she went on the show. "I was nervous, I was a bag of nerves, I was a wreck - all of that," she said.

She then confessed that she had a great time in the jungle, before becoming the third person to be eliminated from the competition. But another member of the camp was one of the most controversial figures - former Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

The politician became the scapegoat of several challenges, as the public went on to vote him for a total of five bushtucker trials. He would eventually leave the jungle in third place behind eventual winner Jill Scott.

After leaving the show, all the campmates decided they wanted to keep in touch with each other, setting up a group WhatsApp chat. However, not all celebs were included in the group, as Hancock was deliberately left out.

Host Ben Shephard asked Scarlette whether she stayed in touch with any of her fellow contestants. Scarlette quipped back: "Everyone other than Matt Hancock," before erupting into laughter.

Co-host Kate Garraway questioned the WhatsApp group chat, to which Scarlett lamented: "Oh no, this is all going to come out again." She then continued: "Yeah there's a WhatsApp group."

When Ben asked whether Matt was in the group, Scarlette kept mum, instead opting to look directly into the camera. Ben and Kate burst into fits of laughter as Douglas maintained her composure, before admitting: "I haven't met him since the jungle, and it's been great."

Kate, who went into the jungle herself in 2019, reflected on her own WhatsApp group experience. While in the jungle, she was joined by American reality legend Caitlyn Jenner.

Similarly to Scarlette's campmates, Kate's fellow contestants opted to keep in touch and also set up a WhatsApp group. But Caitlyn chose to leave her jungle friends behind as she promptly left the chat.

"With us, Caitlyn Jenner's plane had just taken off and she exited the group herself," Kate explained. "All of us were sitting there on our WhatsApp group as we got the notification that Caitlyn had left and we were like, 'Oh, okay!'"

Good Morning Britain airs every weekday at 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
