Fans of This Morning were left baffled as iconic music stars Madness stole the show with their chaotic interview on the Wednesday episode of the ITV show.

Band members Suggs and Mike Barson joined hosts Dermot O'Leary and Rochelle Humes on the blue sofa during Wednesday's episode of the show (November 22). The band came on the show to reflect on the group's lengthy career, reaching 40 years in the music industry.

Looking back at their time in music, both Suggs and Barson were embarrassed at watching some of their previous music videos. Wincing after the montage, Mike joked that he came back to the clips on a regular basis.

When Dermot asked whether the group reflects on their career, Mike joked: "Most evenings," sending the hosts into fits of laughter. "When you finish your dinner, get out the old videos," he continued before Suggs chimed in: "Bust out the Ferrero Rochers!"

The duo also looked to be uncomfortable watching their previous videos, with Suggs admitting later in the interview: "It's almost worse than being caught watching porn." Rochelle was left aghast she heard the comment, as Dermot erupted into laughter.

Trying to maintain composure, Rochelle tried to steer the conversation back to the band. She joked with the guests: "There's something about it, with your kids being like, 'Dad, we get it!'"

The pair also discussed their upcoming album which was released last week. Titled 'Theatre of the Absurd Presents C'est la Vie', the album is set to challenge singer-songwriter Taylor Swift for the number 1 album at Christmas.

Throughout the interview, Suggs and Mike joked about their growth as a band. They also appealed to viewers watching to buy their album in order to edge out Taylor and claim the Number 1 spot.

But fans watching the show were left unsure on the pair, as some suspected that they were under the influence before the interview started. One fan watching commented on the pair's behaviour before adding: "Don't let yourself go. I'd rather have you and Madness than Taylor Swift, your age and era - I will go and buy your new album."

Another added: "Sorry, that interview with Madness, was a massive pile up of a crash. #ThisMorning dizzy Rochelle, can't do this."

A third viewer said: "Love Madness, but this looks like a scene from 'Cocoon' - [Mike] looks like he's been kidnapped from the local bus stop."
