McDonald's makes huge menu changes – adding new McFlurrys and cheese bites

We love a McDonalds now and then – and it looks like there's lots to look forward to for Christmas. This is because the popular food chain is shaking up the menu with tempting new additions

McDonalds is shaking up its menu just in time for Christmas – and there are eight new tempting additions.

The fast-food chain is welcoming two favourites back to the menu, as well as introducing some new tasty treats. Fans will be able to test out the new additions at all UK and Ireland restaurants from 11am on Wednesday, November 22.

Fans will be able to chomp on two new burgers – the Big and Cheesy and the Big and Cheesy with bacon. Those who have more of a sweet tooth will also be glad to know there are two new festive McFlurrys to sample.

Another item set to launch this week is the Galaxy Caramel Pie, which is a new take on the classic apple pie. Chicken lovers will also be glad to know that the Chicken Big Mac is making its third return to the Maccies menu.

Not to mention, the much-loved Cheese Melt Dippers will also be up for grabs again. The only catch is you need to be quick to sample the goods, as they'll only be around for six weeks.

The festive menu will only be available to customers until January 3.

The Big and Cheesy burger comes complete with a hefty beef patty, two slices of cheese and is topped off with crispy onions. It's also smothered in cheese sauce and sandwiched between a toasted bun.

You can snap up the burger on its own for £5.49, but for £7.29 you can buy it as a meal with a side and a drink. But – if you want to take things up a gear – you could even give the Big and Cheesy with bacon a go too. This is available for £6.29 by itself or £8.09 as a meal.

Meanwhile, the Chicken Big Mac is making a comeback having previously proved a huge hit with fans since it first hit shelves in 2022. It's a clever twist on the iconic Big Mac with a triple-layered bun, two chicken patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce and pickles.

Naturally, it's also topped off with Big Mac sauce. The burger comes in at £4.79 for a single and £6.59 for a meal.

Another item returning to the menu are the Cheese Melt Dippers, which comprise of Camembert and are served with a rich tomato dip. Food fans can snap up a pack for £2.59 or splash £6.89 on a Sharebox of 12.

The McDonald’s Chicken Combo is also up for grabs for the first time after being launched on delivery platforms earlier this month. It includes 10 Chicken Selects and a 20 Chicken McNuggets Sharebox, and will set you back £14.99 for the lot.

There are also three sweet treats available to enjoy on the run up to Christmas. One of them is new Galaxy Caramel Pie, which comes in at £1.99. As well as this, there are two new Galaxy McFlurrys – one swirled with chocolate sauce and another with caramel.

Both cost £1.49 for a mini-size or £1.99 for a regular.
