Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are believed to be "more influential" than Prince William and Princess Kate, a new survey has found.

Taking data from the likes of Google searches, TikTok views and Instagram hashtags, the research has shown up who the most popular and talked-about members of the Royal Family are.

Despite her passing more than a year ago, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is still the most popular and most-searched member of the Royal Family. But the Sussex duo make up the second and third place spots.

In second place was Prince Harry and making up third place was Meghan Markle, with the Sussex duo fending off the likes of King Charles III, Prince William and Princess Kate to make up the top three with the late Queen.

The pair's public appearances have catapulted them up the ranking, making a number of public appearances at the Invictus Games and various date nights around the United States.

The Prince of Wales, William, found himself in joint-sixth place with the late Princess Diana, while King Charles and Kate Middleton also featured in the top six.

Despite leaving the Royal Family in 2020, it would appear the Sussex duo are still firm favourites with plenty of attention on the couple from date nights in Rogers Arena to alleged plans to attend Christmas with the rest of the Royal Family.

According to expert Diana Elser, the duo are hoping to spend the festive season as Sandringham, though news of an invite is not yet forthcoming. She said: "I can’t imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty. As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays."

A "brief spell" back in the family is allegedly on the cards for the Sussex duo who may have a slim chance of returning to their duties, or at least the seasonal parties, of the Royal Family.

Expert Elser added: "If we take all the charges that the Sussexes have levelled at Crown Inc at face value, why in God’s name would they even deign to cross the road to see this titled lot let alone fly ten hours, at no small expenses, and with two small children?".
