A model dared to bare all in a see-through frock.

She rocked the Laney Mesh Mini Dress, which is made from completely sheer fabric. It features the words "send nudes" across the boobs and bum, which look like they've been sprayed on with graffiti.

The clothing item is being flogged by Fashion Nova, who describe it as "not safe for work". It retails for £25 – but you could probably save yourself some money by wearing your birthday suit instead.

When pictures of the dress emerged on Instagram, it garnered more than 38,000 likes. But despite the positivity, many waded in to criticise how revealing the garment is.

One commenter wrote: "Dear Fashion Nova, can you please get back to fashion and stop having us to always appear half naked or give the illusion of us being naked?

"Yes we know we look amazing in our skin but can we get back to actual outfits? Textures, prints, patterns, Fabrics?"

Another said: "You might as well walk outside naked... these outfits are out of control". A third wrote: "That's so trashy".

And a fourth added: "Shake my head. There is nothing left to the imagination nowadays. Have some self respect."

Despite the backlash, some rallied to defend the dress and shared situations where it would look great.

A responder said: "You guys don’t have to wear in public it’s cute for your man at sexy time. Y’all chill out." And another suggested: "Maybe it's from the lingerie section."
