Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid made it perfectly clear about how she’d feel if co-star Kate Garraway were to to join This Morning.

The ITV show returned to another instalment on Monday (November 20) with hosts Susanna and Richard Madeley back at the helm. But things soon took an awkward turn when Kate Garraway was mentioned about potentially joining This Morning..

“I’m pushing for Kate,” a GMB guest said, when talking about Holy Willoughby’s permanent replacement on This Morning. Agreeing, Susanna replied: “Yes.”

But she was quick to backtrack and said: “Well I don’t want Kate to go. I think she’s especially talented, and she’d be absolutely brilliant.

“But please don’t go anywhere Kate,” she added. Susanna then turned to the camera and issued bosses over at This Morning a stern warning. She proclaimed: “This Morning, hands off our Kate!”

Susanna’s co-host Richard then chimed in and mused: “Yeah but she’d get longer in bed.” She replied: “Yeah that’s true, she would. Oh yeah, let’s all move to This Morning then!”

Holly confirmed last month that she had left This Morning after 14 years and would not be returning to the famous blue sofa. In an emotional message, she said she decided to quit for "me and my family."

TV favourite Cat Deeley has since stepped in to replace her making her debut last week alongside Ryan Clark. And it's fair to say Cat's stint went down a treat with fans, who have begged bosses to make her permanent.

As the daytime programme started last week, Cat joked that she couldn’t believe the “naughtiest people in television” were live on ITV together. Laughing, Rylan agreed: “Now this is officially the end… this is how it ends. With us two!”

"It kind of is!" agreed Cat. "But let's go down in like, a storm." "We will, we will!" Rylan agreed.

As the show got underway, viewers were quick to gush over Cat and Rylan's chemistry, with one writing: "Think This Morning have finally found their permanent presenters. Loved watching these two together - Rylan and Cat actually made the show worth watching throughout".
